Visit To Baan Thammapakorn Elder Aid Centre

After our trip to both the Hoffnungsfunke children’s home and the centre for single mothers, our charity drive for 2018 concluded with a trip to the Baan Thammapakorn elder aid centre in the heart of Chiang Mai. Once again, more than a dozen members of the Bluechips team showed up to show support to a worthy organisation with many of those taking time from their own schedules to do.

Our trip involved bringing some sanitary products and snacks for the residents of the centre and participating in the traditional Thai activity of ‘Look Choop’ where you fashion an edible dough into various objects and shapes. It provided a great chance for some of those in the elder home to practice their English with our international staff and revisit an activity many of them remembered from childhood. Our visit ended with the handover of our donation to the centre and some more conversation with the residents.

Once again we want to thank our customers who participated in our annual customer survey for increasing our charitable donation to all three organisations that we visited. We look forward to continuing our relationships with these worthy causes in the future.
